FF8 [PAL] Black screen

Hi,
i tried to run Final Fantasy 8 on the epsxe, but there is just a black screen .

I tried it with the original cd and the iso ... same result
i downloaded a patch, but thats not working with win10 64bit

FF7 is working fine

what else can i try?

Rayman 1 Memory card problem update: game now freezes

I have encountered this problem that doesn't usually happen when i play Rayman 1.
I go to save with the memory card and then it says " This memory card has changed reinsert the initial memory card and press X button" Does anybody know why this is happening? EDIT: on the new ePSXe update it freezes at the ubisoft logo without any music

Black Borders Top and Bottom of screen

Testing new epsxe 2.0 and seems theres an issue with the black borders,

Also affecting speech bubbles in some games like spyro year of the dragon, Pal version

Im not good with words to describe the issue so i took pictures to compare the gpu plugin

Have a question about Breath of Fire IV

Hello everyone,

after my original PSOne broke down a few days ago :(, I remembered this nifty little emulator and decided to give it a go. Now I am having a small problam and am hoping someone out there has an answer for me.

While in-game there are these strange black lines showing up especially in the menus and during battles when characters or enemies are moving.

I am currently using Pete's OpenGL2 GPU Core 2.0.0 and did tinker around with the different settings but haven't been able to...

Epsxe and Jumping Flash + other games.

Saw LOTS of posts re Jumping Flash 2 but none applicable re Jumping Flash one.

Just got Epsxe 2.0 and configured it with a 7502 bios and the built in plugins but I've noticed on Airgrave and more of JF that I'm seeing what I believe 'inbetween / buffer' screens ie they have been displayed but then reappear with colours messed up to be honest almost b&w like the CLUT table is void, to me its like its showing what should be a black screen while it reorganises the next new screen if that makes...

2.0 crash when switching MGS1 disc

ePSXe 2.0 crashes when trying to switch MGS1 (NTSC) cd with File>Change Disc, both ISO and CD-ROM. I have tried a few plugin combinations with both NTSC and PAL bios and it doesn't work on any but it DOES work on 1.9.25 with Pete's OpenGL 2 and ePSXe SPU Core on SCPH-1001.

This isn't much of a problem since I can play fine with the previous version but I'd very much like to fix it on 2.0. Also I haven't tried any other game that needs CD switching so I can't tell if it's game specific or not....

I DID rip these games legally.

I have the bin files for Metal Gear Solid(USA) disc 1 and MGS disc 2, and when I try to switch discs by hitting escape and going to File>change disc>ISO, the file selection dialog opens, and almost lets me select a file, but then it just crashes and says ePSXe has stopped working. After much googling I couldn't find anyone that had the same problems as me, so I created an account on here just to ask this. :rolleyes:

Running Isos Off of My External Hard Drive

I've been experiencing lag and stuttering issues when trying to play isos that I've downloaded onto my 1tb Transcend external hard drive. I'm mostly using it for storage and convenience, but is there anything I can do to make games run better from it?

Rage Racer [U] locking up

I've got this game freezing sometimes at specific points on the track or just randomly, usually on the final lap which is really annoying. The picture freezes and the sound is caught in a short loop. I don't understand what's causing it, I almost got halfway through the game before this started so I think I've changed a crucial setting somewhere but I don't know what. Maybe you'll see something obvious. I hope.

Final Fantasy Tactics Issue: Character Sprites Offset

I've run into a rather weird issue trying to get my copy of Final Fantasy Tactics to work with ePSXe. The game looks fine enough, considering it's a fifteen year old game, but all of the character sprites are offset maybe a quarter screen length, like so:

I'm running version 2.00 of the emulator, using Pete's GL2 Core, and a physical copy of the game. It ran fine the last time I played it on a PSX directly, so I'm about 95% certain...

Formula 1 '97

Hello everyone.
I'm using ePSXe 2.0.0 to play with Formula 1 '97.
The graphic is perfect and the game runs super smoothly, but sometimes there are occasional freezings.
Basically the game stops for a very short amount of time (maybe half a second) and then it starts again.
And obviously in a racing game this doesn't help.
My graphic card is a Radeon HD 6800... my CPU is an Intel Core i7 940... I have 6 GB of RAM.
I tried with version 1.9.25 but there was no difference.
I'm using Pete's OpenGL2...

Touchscreen light gun not working

I'm trying to play area 51 on my phone using the touchscreen and it doesn't seem to work for whatever reason start works and touching the screen seems to register as a botton press since it lets me start the game by touching the screen but once it's starts all it does is make the screen flash whenever I try to shoot something and I don't lose ammo for it either

Gran Turismo 2 with steering wheel

Has someone managed to make GT2 work with a wheel? I've been trying to do it for the past 2 days with no success. I tried setting up like this but then the steering axis has a huge deadzone even with 200 degrees set.

I'd really appreciate the help. GT2 is one of my childhood favorites and I'd love to play through it with proper analogue controls.

hi there

some games with widescreen are amazing

anyway i played Die hard Trilogy and widescreen works but
the enemies hands scary..like its glitchy and tall hands..how to fix it?

and Syphon Filter 2 is great with widescreen but when i
aim on enemies..the aim dosnt work well..its not targeting correctly the enemy

how to fix these?

Suikoden PAL save issue 1.9.25

Howdy all!

First off, I tried to look at the help first, but every configuration option goes to how to configure sound, so it looks like the help is broken right now.

I am playing an ISO of the PAL version of Suikoden. The game plays great, but I am running into a problem when saving. The game will let me save the game once, but after that, I get an error whenever I try to load or save after that in game (Unable to read file)

I know the virtual memory card works, because I played through...

Yo, So here is the deal. I have ePSXe 2.0 for a bout over a month now, And haven't configured the memory cards, So I stuck to good old save states. Been playing FF7 for the past of February and got to the point where you had to go through Shinra's HQ, And after awhile, I got a weird glitch, So I save stated and reloaded....
